Temperament :
They are intelligent and independent, and curious of their surroundings. Sloughies are of sensitive nature and are quiet and calm indoors, and prefer to lie on soft rugs and blankets. A Sloughi is faithful to his owner and it needs him close by. Sloughis are easy to bring up and to train, if you know how to do it.
Grooming :
Occasional brushing with a rubber brush will keep the coat in good condition. Being a desert hound that has no undercoat, Sloughi needs protection in cold and wet weather.
Exercise :
It loves variety, walking on the leash, romping in the countryside, and racing. They make excellent jogging partners but because of their hunting instincts, they should never be let loose in unsafe areas.
